What's Old Is New Again. Sort Of.

As soon as I saw this new Xerox solid ink printer I immediately thought of the old Tektronix wax printers; which I still think produced superior colour to laser printers, you just couldn't write on the pages (if there was lots of coverage) with a ball point pen or run them through a photocopier without some hassle. Seeing as my office just recently upgraded to a new Xerox printer I don't think I'll get a chance to play with one of these new ones for quite some time.

Bike Lanes Everywhere

This looks like a great idea. Only I think Edmonton drivers would be too moronic to know what a bike lane is. Real or projected. Hell, half the time they don't understand that when a pedestrian is in the cross walk, you aren't supposed to drive through it (this is for the most recent dumb fuck that almost hit me as I was 3/4 of the way across the street).

On a side note, there's a part of me that wants to take pictures of the bad drivers here in town and post the pictures to a website. With a short description of the stupid stunt they pulled. I just don't know how legal that is. My other option is to carry a shotgun with me and shoot out people's tires and windows. And I know that's definitely illegal.

Too Much Tech For A Low Tech Activity?

Would this be sort of the high tech male equivalent of the Sybian (which I just found out actually makes a product for men)? I'm sure it's great to 'Fuck Amy Fisher's Tight Ass' or 'Get Deep Inside Sasha Grey', but look how big that beast is! There's no way I could hide something like this so innocent eyes don't see it.

Songsmith Is Craptastic

Nothing about this looks good. The software looks like shit, what it produces sounds like complete shit, the commercial is... hideous at best. What I want to know is, does Microsoft intend this to be competition for Garageband? Or perhaps they've gotten a tip that Mattel is making a Barbie song maker and they think that's an easier target.

At least Microsoft can still make products that result in gems like this.
