I wasn't so sure what to think about this movie when I first heard about it. But now that there's an official trailer... I think this may be pretty good (despite the fact it stars Paris Hilton).

I don't know what my first reaction would be to finding this in the mouth of a fish I was about to cook (or just caught). I don't think I'd feel like eating fish for a bit though.

Inland Empire

It's almost 9am and I just finished watching Inland Empire. I'm really not sure what I think of the movie. Genius masquerading as insanity? Laura Dern does a kick-ass job in it.

On the whole, the best way to describe it is simply to say it's a David Lynch movie. Those who like his movies will love it, those who hate his movies or always feel confused by them will probably not enjoy it.

I may need to watch it again. Because starting a 3hour long movie at 6am is probably not the best way to enjoy it. Especially one that's far from linear in it's story telling.

I just dropped $5 (US... so what, $4.80 Cdn?) on the new Saul Williams/Trent Reznor collaboration. Not only am I only paying $5 but I'm getting cd quality FLAC files. I am all for buying my music directly from the artists and I sincerely hope that more of the musicians I listen to go this route. I would still prefer to ultimately have the physical CD in my hands, I am a lover of album art, but if the other option is CD quality files I download then so be it.

Karl Lagerfeld

Lagerfeld Confidential sounds like an interesting film. Vice has a little interview with the director. I blame any and all knowledge of who Karl Lagerfeld is on the fact that as a teenager I would watch Fashion File for the naked breasts. You were pretty much guaranteed to see nipple at least once per episode.

Turkey And The PKK

I seriously doubt that either the Iraqi government or the US forces stationed over there will actually do much to truly stop the PKK from attacking Turkey. I'm not one for war... but at least this would be a 'legitimate' invasion of Iraq.
